"The Last Week
of the Savior's Life" Mike Rounds
A graduate of BYU, Mike Rounds is an engineer at the Boeing Company.
Brother Rounds is returning for the fifth time to speak at this
conference. He and his wife,
Anna Lisa, are the parents of 4
wonderful children. He is currently serving as the stake
clerk of the Marysville WA Stake; previously he served on the stake
high council, as scoutmaster, and gospel doctrine teacher
"Last Week of the Savior's Life" Follow the steps
that Jesus took in the days leading up to his trial, crucifixion, entombment,
and glorious resurrection. Learn from the synoptic gospels, the miracles
performed, parables delivered, and prophesies fulfilled during those final days
of his mortal ministry. Each day will be outlined as we walk through the events
which shape so much of the 4 gospels. Come and unravel the Jewish and Roman Laws
which helped to orchestrate the final proceedings in the hours leading to his
death, to bring about his remarkable resurrection. .

Sis. Barbara Tacher and
Sis. Melinda Lawrence
Sister Barbara Tacher has been married for 46 years
and has 6 children and 16 grandchildren. She began playing the violin at the age
of 6. Her mother thought it would be a good way to keep her busy. Little did she
know her decision would foster a life long love of classical music. Sister
Tacher currently performs with the Everett Symphony and is a past member of the
Cascade Symphony and teaches violin lessons in her home. She has been a ward
choir director and enjoys bringing comfort and the spirit to church meetings by
sharing the gift of music with others.
Sister
Melinda Lawrence attended
Brigham Young University where she earned
a bachelor’s degree in music with an emphasis in vocal performance/pedagogy. She
enjoys performing sacred music as well as opera and musical theatre. She has
taught private voice and piano lessons in her home for 20 years and especially
enjoys helping those who think they can’t sing find their voice. She believes
that everyone can learn to sing beautifully.
While attending BYU, Melinda studied conducting with Mack Wilburg who now
conducts the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. She has conducted choirs of all types
including, youth, men’s, women’s, children’s, ward and stake choirs.

Fundamentals of Vocal Technique:
Learn how the voice works and the basics of good singing. This hands-on class is
for anyone who is interested in improving their voice from those who consider
themselves “tone deaf” to more experienced singers. Everyone will come away
singing a little better.(1 hour class taught by
Sister Melinda Lawrence)
Conducting 101: Learn how to conduct music
clearly and expressively. Discover how to use the basic beat patterns, cue’s and
cut-offs in ways that are easy for others to follow and easy to execute. Whether
you have conducted before, served as ward choir director or don’t even know how,
this class is for anyone who loves music. (1 hour class taught by
Sister Melinda Lawrence)
